While improvement methodologies are typically applied with health care providers, some have also focused directly on engaging clients and community members in improvement. Save the Children has developed an improvement methodology that it calls Partnership Defined Quality that engages community members (both users and non-users of health programs or services) with providers to define quality, identify and prioritize problems, and create solutions that strengthen the quality, access and use of services.
