USAID has supported the development of a number of training modules and short training courses related to health care improvement. Courses developed by the Quality Assurance Project were designed to facilitate the introduction and adoption of general health care quality improvement concepts and tools. Training methods used in these courses include both lectures and exercises to provide trainees with opportunities during training to practice skills, as well as pre- and post-tests to measure performance at the completion of training.
Modules and Exercises include training activities of less than six hours of duration and may be used alone or in combination with longer courses. The Short Courses available below were developed for a variety of clients and settings and range in length from two days to two weeks. Each course includes a set of PowerPoint slides; a Trainer’s Manual, with notes on each session, reference materials, and guides to exercises; and a Participant’s Manual.
