Description:

This summary presents the results of a study conducted to determine the effects of hospital QA interventions on compliance with clinical standards, availability of essential drugs, client satisfaction, and utilization. The study, conducted with four intervention and four control hospitals, found that after 12 months, the QA interventions produced rapid increases in compliance with clinical standards in the intervention hospitals as compared with the control group.
