IHI Open School for health professions students

Organization: Institute for Healthcare Improvement
Year:
2009
Description:

The IHI Open School is a free online resource for students of nursing, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, policy, and other health professions. (During the Open School's prototyping phase, IHI is making the courses available free to anyone.)  Courses are offered in the areas of quality improvement, patient safety, patient-centered care, and leadership.  Each course takes roughly an hour to complete and consists of several lessons taking 15-20 minutes each.  Students complete a quiz at the end of each lesson. To pass the course, at least 75% of the questions must be answered correctly.

The IHI Open School for Health Professions is funded by the generous support of the Rx Foundation, the Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit, the Josiah Macy, Jr. Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
